KELLAR, HARRY. Autograph Letter Signed to Harry Houdini, with excellent content. 4 pages, 8vo; on Kellar letterhead. Los Angeles, 02 December 1918

Additional Details

Letter opens with a description of fire-eating and several of its more remarkable practitioners. Kellar then remarks on Houdini''s film company, "Regarding the film company I think you will be wise to sell out and save what you can for your time is too valuable to waste on a dead horse. As far as my little investment is concerned don''t worry about that, for I shall not." Kellar goes on to urge Houdini to amicably settle his dispute with De Biere, concluding that the only satisfied parties will be the lawyers who "milk both parties to a finish." The letter concludes with several paragraphs devoted to the death of Paul Keith [owner of the theatre chain bearing his name].
