It was a nice thing for the society to do. But you deserve all they can do for you; for, you have done more than any other man, who ever occupied the Presidential chair to further the interests of the Society and for the good of magic in general." The letter goes on to report on a rail strike and the resulting extension of a visit from Mr. Hering.
