Issued by the "Sapporo Railway Administrative Bureau" and the "Hokkaido Sightseeing Union" this charming image illustrates one of the many appealing pitfalls of a skiing vacation. In 1951 Kuriyagawa was awarded a special prize in an all-Japan Tourism Poster competition, and then in 1953 he won first prize in a World Tourism poster competition.
