People are strolling along the boardwalks of Southern England's Brighton and Hove, The West Pier stretching out over the water. Brighton and Hove were small fishing villages popular for their seawater cures, and were made famous by the Prince Regent in the early 19th Century, who built lavish buildings and a Royal Pavilion. Still an incredibly popular resort area, the twin towns were only officially united as one city in December, 2000.
