KENT, ROCKWELL. Autograph Manuscript Signed, "Rockwell Kent Jr.," or "Rockwell Kent," 15 times, a timeline spanning the years 1868 and 1918 listing gold prospecting events in Alaska and the Yukon including 6 lines concerning the fall of 1905, with a small ink sketch of a dove and some spiral designs probably made--as were the signatures--to test the ink flow of his fountain pen. 2 pages, small 4to, written on the recto and verso of a single sheet. [Alaska, 1918-19?]

Additional Details

In his book, Winderness, Kent describes his desire to record the stories of a gold prospector and Alaskan pioneer L.M. Olson, whom he befriended during his stay in Alaska between 1918 and 1920. The timeline entry for 1869 is "Came to America," which is consistent with the age given for Olson in the book.
