scarce first editions, each one of 200 hand-numbered copies, both presentation copies inscribed by king. The first volume reads "For Barbara - / All best, and have a / very Happy New Year! / Stephen King / 1/11/83." Barbara Pflughaupt worked as Publicist for the King film adaptation of Cujo (1983) and Creepshow (1982), the latter film starring the author himself in one of the segments. Printed at the Stinehour Press and designed by Michael Alpert; Part One numbered 147; Part Two, number 138. The third part would appear in 1985.
Laid in is a 1 page Autograph Letter Signed by King on Hotel du Cap D'Antibes stationery, dated 15 May, 1980 (folded twice, recto only), warmly conveying birthday wishes: "For Barbara - With all best wishes; hope you enjoyed your birthday. I'd sing, but I can't carry a tune ... Anyway, be well - Stephen King."
