with an original ink drawing by kirchner of a female trapeze artist (entitled "Artistin in Ringen"), that appears on the Foreword of the book. Annotated on verso (in German) indicating that it was completed in 1904 by Kirchner; framed with a window revealing the verso. Kirchner spent 1904 in Munich before returning to Dresden to finish his degree and, with fellow artists Karl Schmidt-Rottluff and Erich Heckel, founded the Expressionist group Die Brücke. The volume is one of 550 (620 total) copies, but unnumbered as often encountered.
