Additional Details

31 December 1958: ". . . [W]hen I left in 1946, I was told that I didn't owe [Nissi?] any money because the income covered all the expenses.
"As it turns out, the income would not have been enough had we not lived with relatives in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia for a month. The remaining hotel expenses and boat fares were just covered by the royalties."
