During the 1930s, poster designers strove to invent appealing little stylized figures to promote products. This one is a plump bon vivant built from two circles representing his body and his head, with additional geometric elements for his arms and legs. The image, like a visual echo, repeats itself, grows larger and changes color as it approaches the viewer.
