Folio, illustrated with seventy-one photogravure images of space numbered 1 through 70, (two plates numbered 30A and 30B; plate ten bound as frontispiece), each image thrown out on a guard and protected with a tissue guard, bound in full publisher's pebbled cloth, somewhat shaken and abraded, contents good, 11 3/4 x 9 1/4 in.
At the Lick Observatory, Keeler used the Crossley telescope to photograph distant nebulae. After a stroke claimed his life at the age of 43, Keeler's colleagues at the Observatory gathered his images and work in the present publication.
