LA REVUE DU CASINO DE PARIS. Circa 1905. 30 1/4x22 1/8 inches. Atelier Sem, Paris. Condition A-: restoration along vertical and horizontal folds. A funny intriguing image trying to draw the public to a revue at the Casino de Paris, which by this time was struggling to survive. It is far more graphic than Sem's "caricature posters", as seen in the details of the character's costumes and the rendition of their faces. The poster highlights Sem's talents as an excellent colorist. Even his signature is far more graphic.
