LADISLAV HORAK (1904-?) CZECHOSLOVAKIA / VISIT THE ROCKS OF PRACHOV NEAR JICIN. 1936. 37 1/2x25 inches, 95 1/4x63 1/2 cm. Condition A / A-: minor restoration in margins and top left corner. The astounding sandstone rock formations of Prachov, some of which are more then 120 feet high, are situated near the town of Jicin, in an area more commonly referred to as Czech Paradise (Cesky Raj). Little is known about Horak, except that in addition to the almost two dozen travel posters he designed in the 1930s and 40s, he was also an architect. This is the English version.
