23 1/2x19 inches, 59 3/4x48 1/4 cm.
Condition B+: tears, creases and abrasions in margins and along vertical and horizontal folds; lower left corner reattached with archival tape on verso. Hinged to mat at top edge. Paper.
This image was so popular that in the following year Sunset featured it on the cover of their February issue. It, in turn, became even more popular, so much so that the magazine began to sell it in poster form to subscribers and the general public. Accounts state that by 1907, the magazine had already sold 250,000 copies. The posters, which only feature the image of the Native American (without the text), also have a Sunset magazine imprint in the lower left corner. It's called "Navajo Indian from life." Zega p. 27 (var).
