Silver print, the image measuring 15x18½ inches (38.1x47 cm.), the later mount 16x20 inches (40.6x50.8 cm.), with Gilpin's signature and negative date in pencil on mount recto, and her credit label with the typed title, negative date, and notation "from The Enduring Navaho, University of Texas Press, 1968" on mount verso.
