Additional Details

The medieval town law of Magdeburg, or Sächsisches Weichbild, became the most widely-followed model for German municipalities in Central and Eastern Europe. With the bookplate of the legal scholar Guido Kisch (1889-1986), who specialized in the history of German law, particularly as it applied to Jews in medieval society.
