Pencil and colored pencils on tan wove paper, 1925. 210x270 mm; 8 1/4x10 5/8 inches. Signed and dated in pencil, lower right recto, and counter signed and dedicated to Ward Bennett in pencil, upper left recto. A gift from the artist to Ward Bennett, thence by inheritence to the current owner.
Eric Mouchet, Paris, has confirmed the authenticity of this drawing. A certificate can be obtained from Eric Mouchet by the successful buyer.
Ward Bennett (1912-2003), the famous American designer, lived in Paris during the late 1930s and studied briefly with Le Corbusier at his atelier on the rue des Sevres. They remained close friends until Le Corbusier's death in 1965.
