To Kill A Mockingbird. 8vo, publisher's 1/4 green cloth over boards, spine with minor soiling and slightly faded at tips; discreet booklabel on front pastedown and small spot of tape residue on same and rear, dedicatee's signature above inscription on front-free endpaper, age-toning at rear including pastedown; dust jacket, residue from several old cellotape repairs (now absent) mostly on verso edges, dampstain to lower spine panel, some chipping mostly to spine panel ends, overall rubbing and some closed tears along folds, but still presentable and with price intact; preserved in custom 1/4 brown morocco folding case. In first issue dust jacket with Capote blurb in green on the front flap, the Jonathan Daniels blurb on the rear flap and Capote portrait of Harper Lee on rear panel. A quite scarce early presentation copy, dated only two months after publication. 1961 Pulitzer Prize winner.
