Additional Details

Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier met for the third and final time in 1975 for the WBC/WBA World Heavyweight Title fight at the Araneta Coliseum,
Quezon City, Philippines. This fight became known as the "Thrilla in Manilla," after Ali's boastful refrain that the fight would be a "killa and a thrilla and a chilla, when I get that gorilla in Manila." Ali won prior to the 15th round after knocking down Frazier three times -- a TKO. The fight is consistently judged one of the best in the sport's history, and assured Ali's status as one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century.
