A bright, bold image using broad areas of flat color, a style championed by Tom Purvis, of Fatehpur Sikri, the City of Victory. Built in the second half of the 16th century, the city was the Capital of the Mughal Empire for 10 years. Built with local red sandstone, the city, now a World Heritage Sight, is considered a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. Pictured looming over the city is the Buland Darwaza, Blind Gate, a triumphal arch constructed in 1575. Cusden also designed posters for the LNER and the GWR railways in Britain.
