The menu, for a dinner held in honor of Leoncavallo by the Los Angeles branch of the Dante Alighieri Society of Rome on December 9, 1913. Signed below his portrait on front cover. 4 pages, small 8vo, folded card; minor abrasions at extreme edges of front cover. The postcard, to the director of l'Opera Comique in Paris Pierre-Barthélemy Gheusi, in French, inquiring whether he received his package, hoping he would send a word to a humble Italian soldier who adores France. On verso is a photograph showing a full-length portrait of Leoncavallo in soldier's attire. 1 page, oblong 12mo; addressed in holograph, with cancelled 10-centesimi postage stamp. The photograph, "R.
