Directed by John Huston, produced by Carter DeHaven, and starring Anjelica Huston, this romantic drama set during the Hundred Years War focuses on the relationship between a young noblewoman and a student who has abandoned his studies in Paris.

The typed letter written on October 28, 1970 to DeHaven, who was also an actor, writer, and director, reads:

"Dear Carter,

A Swiss publisher is currently preparing a book on my sketches, set designs and costumes for the theatre and cinema. I would very much like to include in this work the designs which I did for the "jugglers" (about ten drawings in all) in WALK WITH LOVE AND DEATH, and would appreciate it greatly if you could arrage [sic] to have them sent to me -- or tell me where they are and how I might obtain them.

Thanking you in advance for your kind assistance, I remain

Yours very truly,Leonor Fini [signed]"

The book Fini refers to in the letter is likely Leonor Fini (Geneva, Switzerland: Galerie Lambert Monet, 1970). It is unknown whether the artwork is illustrated in this publication.
