Feiffer commentary: LeRoy was Hefner's Playboy serious painter, and he did mostly sports stories, including the Olympics, the Super Bowl, the World Series, the Kentucky Derby, and championship boxing. He had a wonderful way with a brush, and a quick sense of capturing anything with it. We had absolutely nothing in common, and just liked each other. I always had good times with him. I used to rent a house on Fire Island in summers before I was on the Vineyard, and he did this spontaneously one evening and gave it to me.
