Beneath a star-studded sky, the dark blue 20th Century Ltd., with orange lights burning in the engine and passenger cars, is cutting its way through the mid-winter darkness along the Historic Water Level Route (along the Hudson River). Running past snow-covered pine trees and houses, the headlamp from the mighty engine casts a moon-like reflection in the river.
