LESLIE RAGAN THE NEW UNION TERMINAL / CLEVELAND. 1930.
403/4x27 inches. Latham Litho, Long Island City, NY.
Condition A-: restoration in bottom margin.
A monumental image of a monumental building, shown bathed in the fiery orange of a dramatic sunset, which cloaks its shadowed side in lavender, and each of its wings in a different color. Rising 52 stories above Cleveland's Public Square, the terminal was the second tallest building in the world in 1930. The massive urban redevelopment that accompanied its construction foreshadowed Rockefeller Center in New York City. Zega p. 96.
