Metal strips affixed to top and bottom. Paper. In 1937, Beall was the first American designer to have a one-man show at the Museum of Modern Art. He designed at least six posters for the United States Lines, each with a crisp, efficient, modern graphic treatment, and realized with a contemporary dynamic vision.
