The plate numbers include 256 to 262, 264, 266, 267, 270, 272, 274 and 275. Each of these studies is copyrighted 1907. However, Lincoln began this project early in the 20th century and published his photographs over decades. The multi-part portfolio, with a total of 400 photographs, appeared in small, hand-made editions.
