This large, colorful painting of a street corner in Montmartre is an excellent and large example of Loïs Mailou Jones's Paris body of work. Jones, who first lived in Paris from 1937-38, returned there frequently after World War II. She painted many Parisian street scenes en plein aire, and she continued to produce them through the 1960s.
