5 Cuentos de Miedo (5 Tales of Fear), a book from the series "Libros Para el Pueblo," was printed by DIVEDCO and widely distributed for free as a promotional tool for Governor Luis Muñoz's campaign, emphasizing the use of science over folklore and superstition within the rural school systems. Homar was one of the key figures in Puerto Rican graphic design in the 1950s and 60s. Schooled at New York's Art Students League and Pratt Institute, Homar also worked as an artist at Cartier. In 1953, he became director of DIVEDCO's graphic arts department.
