Born and raised in Brooklyn, Delsarte received a BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and an MFA from the University of Arizona. Delsarte's work has been commissioned for several major mural projects, including his monumental The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Mural: Dreams, Visions and Change, a 129-foot mural, installed in 2010 at the King National Historic Site in Atlanta. His work can be found in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Fort Lauderdale Museum, the Kansas City Art Museum, the High Museum of Art and the Corcoran Gallery of Art.
