Condition varies, generally A-: calendar cover with losses in corner and at edges. Paper. Matted and framed. Originally printed in 1897, this calendar was reissued in subsequent years with the dates modified within the text boxes on each sheet. It is a tour de force of Rhead's incomparable design skills in which repeating motifs, patterns and colors are interwoven into each image. Clearly reminiscent of similar calendars designed by Eugene Grasset in Paris (of whom Rhead was a great admirer and devotee) it is simultaneously an Arts and Crafts masterpiece in its own right.
