After the German invasion of Denmark in 1940 a small, but determined group of Danish seamen sailed under the British flag to assist with the war effort. The "United Nations" mentioned is not the United Nations established after the war, but the allied nations united against Germany. Designed with photographs taken by the acclaimed fashion photographer Louise Dahl-Wolfe, these avant-garde style images show the strength, pride, determination and experience of the Danes.
