Additionally, graphite drawing of initial letters, "H.P.L.," possibly holograph, at upper edge of first page of table of contents. 8vo, morocco, worn; faint scattered staining to signed page, lacking leaf facing title-page, faint scattered foxing throughout, Lovecraft's purple ink owner's stamp at upper right of signed page and upper left of title-page. Additional Details

In March of 1904, after the death of Lovecraft's grandfather, the Lovecraft family moved to 598 Angell Street, where Lovecraft remained until January 1925, when he moved into an apartment in Brooklyn Heights, New York City. In 1910, while taking a correspondence course in chemistry (1909-12), Lovecraft wrote an unpublished and now lost work, A Brief Course in Inorganic Chemistry.
