Dr. Lowman instructed astronauts prior to launch as to which geologic targets to photograph from space. Inscribed by the author with: "To Mike Collins, with thanks for some great space photography. Best wishes, Paul D. Lowman, Jr., June 1972." Collins took many of these photographs during Gemini 10 and Apollo 11.
