An Air France plane is passing over a woman holding a map of Europe, Asia and Africa, with the airline's route from London to Hanoi. Air France was formed in 1933 after a merger between Air Orient and a number of other French airlines. Adopting the winged seahorse logo that had belonged to Air Orient, Air France absorbed the former airline's routes through Asia. Boucher designed two posters promoting the Airline's routes to and through the Orient. They are unique in the series of Air France posters as, like a Chinese enameled box, they are each lacquered -- further adding to their graphic exoticism. Air France 61.
