Riquet, purveyor of exotic chocolates and teas, was one of Hohlwein's biggest clients. In the many posters he designed for the firm, he would always strive to depict exotic images connected to the countries from which the products were imported. Here, against a sharp yellow background, in front of an unusual blue plant, he represents a statue of Buddha.
