LUDWIG HOHLWEIN (1874-1949) ELFKA / SCHUH PUTZ. Circa 1935. 20 1/8x14 inches. Greiner & Pfeiffer, Stuttgart. Condition A. Framed. Hohlwein's output as an illustrator and advertiser was prodigious. His work appeared in all different formats and in all different styles of printing. This offset lithograph, features a well-balanced sportsman astride his horse. His riding boots and leather ball are gleaming thanks to the product being advertised: shoe polish. Not in Hohlwein.
