An advertisement for a one-day summer festival at Munich's Hellabrunn Zoo, using virtually the same image Hohlwein employed to advertise the zoo in his 1912 poster (see Swann sale 2006, lot 16). Here, however, with the leopard and the panther in exactly the same pose as was depicted two years earlier, the exquisite detail is replaced with bright, bold colors. rare.
