Substantial oversized folio, volume one of two, consisting of title page, prefatory material, and 187 numbered folios, (lacking a second part of equal length accounted for in the index as leaves 188-335, not present here); title page printed in red and black within an architectural compartment (mounted, paper patch to top edge); text printed in red and black throughout, with 4-line staves and large woodcut initials; bound in full contemporary diced russia over wooden boards with five large brass bosses on each board (lacking clasps, leather on spine worn and fragmentary, some old leather patches to corners held in place with nails; marginal paper repairs to several leaves; each leaf guarded at the gutter, as originally constructed; lacking all after leaf 187 [T7]); 20 1/4 x 15 in.
