Signed vertically to the right of their respective pictures and exactly as: M. Scott Carpenter, Leroy G. Cooper Jr., John H. Glenn Jr., Virgil I. Grissom, Walter M. Schirra Jr., Alan B. Shepard Jr., and D. K. Slayton. With a Typed Letter Signed by Cooper giving additional details.
These autographs represent one of the earliest group signatures done by the Mercury astronauts after their selection by NASA in April 1959. A collective decision had been made by the seven to autograph a very limited number of this publication for their personal collections.
