Moholy-Nagy was a driving force within many of the avant-garde movements between the wars; from Constructivism to Dada to de Stijl. He taught at the Bauhaus from 1923-1928 and was a pioneer in photography, photomontage and new typography. In conjunction with the Bauhaus exhibition in Weimar, twenty member artists and students designed what were essentially mini-posters that were printed in postcard form. Paul Klee, Herbert Bayer, Wassily Kandinsky, Farkas Molnar and others all contributed designs to this exceptional publicity campaign.
