MAKOTO NAKAMURA (1926- ) SHISHEIDO PERFUMES / "THE SOFTNESS OF THE LIGHT PERFUME". 1978. 40 1/2x28 1/2 inches. Condition A-: minor tears and creases in margins. Paper. Nakamura spent his entire professional career working for Shisheido. In the beginning of the 1970s he created a revolution in cosmetic advertising by using close-ups of faces and fingers in situations that always tell a story, dramatic or mysterious, thereby building a strong and unique identity for the company. This poster is one of the most famous creations he directed (here using a photograph by Noriaki Yokosuka).
