Saito is a prominent Japanese graphic designer who rose to fame in the 1980s with his advertisements for the Japanese fashion brands Jun, Alpha Cubic and Batsu. He stands out through his visual flamboyance, as his work is freely inspired and he uses his own unique graphic vocabulary to create incredible photomontages and unexpected imagery. His posters "do not so much sell as present themselves as an enigmatic alternative to the commerce of images out of which the poster itself was born" (Saito p. 21). This image is one of four he designed for an exhibition at the Ginza Graphic Gallery (GGG). rare. All of his posters were printed in very small runs. Saito 27.
