MALICK SIDIBÉ (1936-2016) A suite of 7 chemises made at various Bamako, Mali celebrations, clubs, and happenings. Each chemise including between 10 and 22 photographs mounted as an index onto folders and then displayed for perusal by the subjects or passersby. Silver prints (130), the images measuring approximately 3 1/8x2 1/8 inches (7.9x5.4 cm.), and the reverse, the original pink or tan folder mounts 12 1/2x18 3/4 and 12 1/2x9 3/8 (one) inches (31.8x47.6 and 31.8x49.2 cm.), with numeric notations, in ink, under each image on mount recto, and the date and name of the event, in ink, and two with Sidibé's hand stamp, on mount verso. 1969-70
