This print was originally the property of Alice B. Toklas, Stein's longtime companion, and was subsequently acquired from the Estate of Alice B. Toklas by Mrs. Marguerite Cohn of The House of Books, Ltd. in New York. The current owner acquired the photograph from Mrs. Cohn in 1979. A letter of provenance will accompany the print.
