MANCHON LE TREFLE.
52 1/4x37 inches. Ch. Delaye, Paris.
Condition B+: minor restoration along horizontal folds.
A couple outlined in orange in the green and yellow glare of a suspended lamp, whose powerful rays are penetrating their bodies and revealing their skeletons (a figurative illustration to express the strength and brightness of this lamp). Discovered in 1895, and before any harmful side-effects were identified, x-rays were clearly all the rage, used here as an example to show how technologically cutting edge this lamp company was.
