Additional Details

Italian translations of polemics against Islam and Judaism, transcribed from the 1545 Venice editions printed by Bartolomeo Imperatore. The first work was written by a Valencian apostate Muslim and originally published in Spanish in 1515. The second was supposedly written in Arabic by a Moroccan apostate Jew at the beginning of the 11th century and translated into Latin by the Spanish Dominican Alphonsus Bonihominis in the 14th century, but now considered more likely to have been composed by the latter; the first printed edition appeared in 1474.
