A master of Art Deco poster design, Puppo's career spanned many decades and he was still creating posters in the mid-1950s. What appears to be an ordinary travel poster is taken to a higher level by the graphic depiction of all the ocean liners in the harbor, the steam from their funnels mirroring the steam from Mt. Vesuvius.
