A selection of four photographs from her series documenting the neglected rights of children in America. The images include: Lower East Side, New York (children playing on the street) * Miami (children on a porch) * Temporary housing for returning evacuees, Los Angeles (children on steps) * Plantation School, Athens, Alabama, all from the book Suffer Little Children (1952) and the traveling exhibition "Children in America," (1949), Rosenwald Fellowship Project. Silver prints, the images measuring approximately 13 1/2x10 1/2 inches (34.3x26.7 cm.), and one the reverse, the mounts 20x16 inches (50.8x40.6 cm.), each with Palfi's signature in pencil on mount recto and her title, reproduction, exhibition, and Fellowship information with the negative dates in ink on mount verso. 1946-49; printed 1970s
