In addition to being a street skateboarding pioneer, Gonzales is also an artist. These collages are exemplary of the tongue-in-cheek, improvisational look that exemplified him as a skateboarder and helped make him a key figure in the crossover of the skate and downtown contemporary art worlds in the late 90s and early 2000s.
