The lighted skyscraper in the center background, also seen in Lewis's Manhattan Lights (see lot 276), is the Chanin Building, designed in the Art Deco style and completed in 1929. It is located at 122 East 42nd Street, at the corner of Lexington Avenue and across the street from the better-known Chrysler Building. McCarron 77.
